Setting Up JMS Drivers for Development

Use the Driver Definitions Preferences dialog to set up JMS drivers for development.

Note: No driver setup is required if you plan to use a Generic JMS driver in your connection profile.
  1. Select Window > Preferences from the main menu bar. The Preferences dialog box opens.
  2. Expand Sybase, Inc in the left pane and select Driver Definitions. The available driver definition templates display in the right pane.
  3. Expand the JMS category in the right pane.
  4. Set up a new driver.
    1. Select JMS driver type from the list and click Add.
    2. Select a driver template from the list, select the Edit New Driver Instance Immediately checkbox, and click OK to add .jar or .zip files.
Note: For Generic JMS, do not select the Edit New Driver Instance Immediately checkbox. Click OK to complete the driver definition. No .jar or .zip files are required.
    3. Define driver properties. Click Add Jar/Zip to browse for a <database>.jar file and click OK.
  5. Click OK.
Note: To define a JMS driver for EAServer version 5.x, including EAServer v5.0 Default you must copy the files easclient.jar and jagtool.jar, from your EAServer 5.x installation (located in %JAGUAR%\java\lib), to the location in which WorkSpace expects to locate the drvier files. For example; com.sybase.easclient\lib\easclient.jar and com.sybase.easclient\lib\jagtool.jar.
