Verifying Access to a WSDL Document

Verify access to the WSDL document before creating a service with a SOAP binding.

To define a SOAP service interface, the New Service wizard requires access to a WSDL document.

Choose from the following:
Option Description
Point to a WSDL document in a local directory Import the WSDL document that you want to use into your project.
Note:

When you import a WSDL document into a project, the import process makes a copy of the WSDL file, and the service operations remain static from the point of import. This import process does not accommodate any future updates to the WSDL. To capture updates, you must re-import the WSDL file.

Point to a URL that specifies the location of a WSDL Verify the URL address to be used.
Browse the UDDI Connection Profile for a WSDL document Verify that the WSDL document is available from the URL published in the UDDI Registries connection profile.
