Troubleshooting Database Stored Procedures

Problems: Debugging a database stored procedure and errors encountered when discovering results sets for ASE stored procedures.

Problem 1: Debugging a database stored procedure before developing a database service.

Solution: See the Database Development Troubleshooting.

Problem 2: Errors encountered when discovering results sets for ASE stored procedures created in Sybase WorkSpace.

Solution: Select Window > Preference > Sybase, Inc > Services > Database Service Editor, uncheck the option Rollback after 'Discovering' result sets for an operation. Also ensure that the checkbox for Autocommit is selected on the Database Service Editor, Operation Properties panel.
