Securing an Inbound SOAP Service

You can secure an inbound SOAP service when you package the service.

Prerequisites

Create a service with a SOAP binding and add it to a business process.

  1. Create the Sybase Services package profile.

The Sybase Services Package Profile editor opens.

  2. Configure inbound security:
    1. Select the Access Configuration tab.
    2. Double-click the HTTP Transport to bring up the HTTP Transport Property page.
    3. From the Transport Security Details page, select Use WS-Security and select the Credential Type to be used.

The inbound SOAP service provides authorization and authentication use of the service.

Next

Configure the runtime container and package and deploy the service. You can then test the service if the appropriate WS-Security information has been specified in the request message.
