Creating a Package in the Deployment Profile

A package that you create while you are creating the deployment profile is the same as a package created when creating a services package profile.

You complete the configuration for the packages on the Configuration page so, if changes are required, use the Create packages button after completing the rest of the page. Otherwise, the bindings used in the package profile are used.

  1. Click Create packages to create a package for each target server under each package in the deployment profile.

    The Folder Selection dialog opens.

  2. Select an output directory for the packages.
  3. In the designated folder, a server-specific package is created for each target server used for each package profile included in the deployment profile.

    If the package is targeted to more than one server, a unique package is generated for each target.
