Troubleshooting Business Process Service Runtime Errors

Problems: General runtime errors and unable to load class error.

Problem 1: General runtime errors in a business process service.

Solution 1: Enable additional logging to aid in tracing the flow of your business process logic.


  1. Uncomment the following line in the installation directory\EAServer\bin\logging.properties file:

    com.sybase.bpe.engine.ProcessInstance.level = FINER

  2. Stop the server.

  3. Restart the server.

  4. Redeploy the service package.

Problem 2: The error Unable to load class appears when invoking a business process service:

Solution 2: Verify that the business process service file name does not exceed 54 characters.
