Setting Up User Access to Service Container Using EAServer

Use EAServer Manager to secure user access to the Service Container runtime operations.

Note: EAServer installs with a default admin-role and an admin@system userID, and you can authorize additional users for the admin-role. However, you will lose the capability to authenticate a user in the Security Console because the passwords cannot be checked.
  1. Open EAServer Manager, using the admin@system ID. Select Start > Programs > Sybase > Sybase Central.

For more information on EAServer Manager, see the EAServer documentation located at the main level of the Sybase WorkSpace online bookshelf. If this server documentation is not installed, the documentation is available on the Sybase Product Manuals Web site at http://sybooks.sybase.com.

  2. Set the EAServer Security Configuration in the Runtime Management Console.

See Using EAServer Runtime Security in the Runtime Management Console online help for instructions.
