Setting Up User Access to Service Container Command and Control Operations

Reset the default agent password to prevent unauthorized user access to the command and control operations. Then, synchronize the new password with the Service Container connection profile password.

Use the Enterprise Explorer to reset the password.

  1. Edit the boot.xml file located in <installation directory>\EAServer\SysMgmt:
    1. Open the boot.xml file using an XML editor.
    2. Locate the following section:
      <mbean name="sybase.system.adaptor.security:Name=UserPassword" 
      code="com.sybase.management.jmx.system.RMIAuthenticatorSetup">
      <attribute name="RMIAdaptor">sybase.system.adaptor:Protocol=RMI-JRMP</attribute>
      <attribute name="User">sybrmiclient</attribute>
      <attribute name="Password">_5y6rm1cl1en4</attribute>
      <invoke name="initRMIAdaptor">
      </invoke>
      </mbean>
      
    3. Edit the value for the Password attribute.
    4. Restart the Service Container server.
  2. In Sybase WorkSpace, change the value of the default password for the Service Container connection profile.
    1. Open Enterprise Explorer in Sybase WorkSpace.
    2. Disconnect the Service Container Unwired Orchestrator connection profile.
    3. Right-click the connection profile, and select Properties. Edit the Password value.
    4. Reconnect the connection profile.
