Business process services enable the orchestration of events, activities, and other services to provide an integration solution.
Sybase® WorkSpace supports the development of composite business process services and allows you to extend its reach in the enterprise by integrating any of the following features.
Custom wire formats
Create message definitions for non-XML message types. Then, develop a transformation service to map the message data and use the transformation within a business process.
For example, a purchase order application submits purchase order message data in a non-XML message to a business process service to handle a customer's request for goods and services. The message data is transformed into XML using the transformation service and can then be reserialized for output using another transformation service, or directly output from the business process as XML.
Database event management
Replication Server produces database events that are captured by Service Container and are managed through a business process service.
Business activity monitoring
Set up monitor services in a business process to extract and analyze business data from the business process. Authorized users can then view the aggregated data in the Monitor Console or BAM Dashboard.
