Database Development Miscellaneous Preferences

Miscellaneous preferences define behavior for creating Adaptive Server Enterprise nonsharable temporary tables while editing, running, or saving stored procedures or triggers. Behavior for dropping and renaming objects is also specified.

Property Description
Show Warning Message if Trigger Is Being Renamed in Enterprise Explorer When Table Editor Is Open Select Never to never show a message. Select Prompt to be prompted.
Show 'Reference will not be updated' Message When Database Object Is Being Renamed Select Never to never show a message. Select Prompt to be prompted.
Close Opened Schema Object Editor After the Schema Object Was Dropped Close editors as appropriate.
Enable Autoexecute SQL Statement for Temporary Table(s) Create nonsharable temporary tables automatically when the SQL statements to create them exist in the stored procedure or trigger (default).
Insert Table Creation Statements as Annotations (recommended)

Set the New Temporary Table wizard default behavior to insert the SQL to create the table as a comment in the procedural object definition.

This option is selected automatically when you select Enable Autoexecute SQL Statement for Temporary Table(s).
