Create Index Preferences

Set create index preferences to specify defaults for creating new indexes and the behavior of the index creation wizards.

You can set general preferences for all database servers, or specific create index preferences for these database servers:

Property Description
Show Warning Dialog When Back to the Table Select Page Provides a warning that information will be lost if you back up and begin creating an index for another table (default).
Multiple File Saving Options: Prefix (Optional) Enter a prefix for files.
Multiple File Saving Options: File Name Specify what part of the index name to use as the file name. Choose the short index name or the fully qualified index name.
Multiple File Saving Options: Suffix (Optional) Enter a suffix for files.
Multiple File Saving Options: Extension Enter a file extension for files. The default is .sql.
