Setting Connection Information for Multiple SQL Files

Set the connection information for multiple SQL files simultaneously from WorkSpace Navigator.

  1. Open the WorkSpace Navigator view, and expand the tree view for the projects containing the SQL files for which you want to change connection information.
  2. Press and hold the Ctrl key, and select two or more SQL files.
  3. Release the Ctrl key, right-click a selected SQL file, and choose Set Connection Info.
  4. Select or unselect SQL files listed in the grid.

Each SQL file is listed with its data server type, connection profile, and database name. Use Select All and Deselect All for all listed files. To rearrange the list of files, highlight items in the grid, and use Up or Down to reposition the items.

  5. Specify a Database Server Type, Connection Profile Name, and Database Name for the selected SQL files.
  6. Click Create to create a new connection profile.
  7. (Optional) If you have not connected to the specified database and do not wish to connect, click Do not connect now.

Otherwise, Sybase WorkSpace attempts to connect to the database.

  8. Click OK to set the new connection information.
