Renaming a Stored Procedure

Rename a stored procedure from Enterprise Explorer to refer to the procedure by a new name.

Prerequisites

Before you can rename a stored procedure, be sure the data server that contains the stored procedure is running, and you created and established a connection to the data server.

  1. Expand the Stored Procedures folder, right-click the stored procedure you want to rename, and choose Rename.
  2. Enter a new name for the stored procedure, and click OK.
Note: Avoid using spaces in object names. Spaces may cause the renaming to fail.
