Executing Multiple SQL Files

Execute multiple SQL files from WorkSpace Navigator.

Prerequisites

The data servers specified in the connection profiles with which the SQL files are associated must be running.

  1. Open the WorkSpace Navigator view, and expand the tree view for the projects containing the SQL files you want to execute.
  2. Press and hold the ctrl key, and select two or more SQL files.
  3. Release the ctrl key, right-click a selected SQL file, and choose Execute SQL Files from the context menu. The Select Profile for the Files dialog appears.
  4. Select or deselect SQL files listed in the grid. Each SQL file is listed with its data server type, connection profile, and database name. Use Select All and Deselect All for all listed files. To change the order of execution of the SQL files, rearrange the list of files by highlighting the items in the grid and using the Up or Down buttons to reposition the items.
  5. In the corresponding drop-down menus, specify a Database server type, Connection profile name, and Database name for the selected SQL files. Click Create to create a new connection profile.
  6. To make the data server, connection profile, and database settings persist for the selected SQL files after execution, select Persist the target connection information.
  7. Click OK to execute the SQL files. The execution results are indicated in the SQL Results view.
