Dropping a Foreign Key

Drop a foreign key to release column constraints determined by another table.

Prerequisites 

Before you can drop a foreign key, be sure that the data server containing the table for which you are creating a foreign key is running and you created and established a connection to the data server.

  1. Expand the Tables folder and then expand the table that contains the foreign key you want to drop.
  2. Expand the Foreign Keys folder and find the foreign key you want to drop.
  3. Right-click the foreign key and choose Drop.
