Cutting a Column

Cut existing column DDL when editing table schema to rearrange columns for a table or to otherwise quickly remove an existing column from a table.

Prerequisites

Before you can copy a column, be sure that the data server containing the table is running, and you created and established a connection to the data server. Open the table or tables in the Table Schema Editor.

  1. In the Table Schema Editor, select the Columns tab for the table containing the column you want to cut.
  2. In the columns grid, right-click to the left of the Primary Key field for the table column you want to cut, and choose Cut.

The DDL for the table column is removed. The column DDL is now available for pasting into another column, if applicable.
