Creating a Mobile Business Object From an SAP Data Source

Create a mobile business object from an SAP Business Application Programming Interface (BAPI) or remote function call (RFC) data source.

  1. In the Server Explorer, under SAP Connections, select the SAP data source that you want to use.

    The contents of the SAP database display.

  2. Expand SAP Connections, then expand the nodes until you reach the operation that you want to use.
  3. Drag and drop the selected BAPI or RFC onto the mobile application diagram.
  4. In the Mobile Business Object Creation wizard, enter a name and, optionally, enter a description.
  5. Click Next.
  6. On the connection information page, accept the default values, and click Next .
  7. On the authentication page, accept the default values, and click Next.
  8. On the SAP Function page, either use the default value or click Browse to select another operation.
  9. Click Next.
  10. On the Input and Output Parameters page, select Is Selected for the field or fields you want to use and enter the corresponding value.
  11. On the Specify Table Values page, select the Output check box for the field that you want to use, then click Preview Data.
  12. Close the Preview Results window and click Next in the wizard.
  13. On the Arguments page, click Next.

    The column filters page displays.

  14. Click Next.

    The attributes mapping page displays MBO attributes mapped to SAP table columns.

  15. Change the default attribute name to a more meaningful name (optional) and click Next.

    The parameters mapping page displays MBO parameters mapped to SAP arguments.

  16. Change the default parameter names to a more meaningful name (optional) and click Next.
  17. On the Summary page, click Back to change a value and click Finish when done.
