Adding the BlackBerry PIM action to your controls allows integration with BlackBerry applications like the calendar, address book, tasks, and memo.
Assign logical types to controls and mobile business object attributes that the BlackBerry PIM action will reference. The BlackBerry PIM action requires that the controls to which it is mapped have input fields, for example, edit box, choice, checkbox, and radio group.
Once you map the fields and mobile business object attributes to logical types, add the BlackBerry PIM action to a control to which actions can be assigned, such as the button, hyperlink, list item, and menu item.
For example, to integrate the device application with the BlackBerry address book application, assign the Address Book as the logical type category and then select from the logical types such as First Name, Last Name and so on.
