Creating a Synchronize Action

Use the Synchronization Action dialog to assign a synchronization action to a control.

  1. In the Screen Design > Palette > Actions , select the control to which you want to assign a synchronization action, for example a button, and drag and drop it onto the screen.
  2. In WorkSpace Navigator, locate the mobile business object that contains the synchronization parameters you want to assign to the control, and drag and drop it directly onto the control.
Note: If the mobile business object to which you are adding a synchronization action has a child mobile business object, you must add a Refresh action to the screen of the child mobile business object so that the screen refreshes with the updated data.
    1. An alternate method for assigning a synchronization action to a control is to select the control from the Palette to which you want to assign the synchronization action and drag it onto the screen.
    2. From Actions, select Synchronize, and drag and drop it onto the control.
    3. In the Synchronization Action dialog, click Search to launch the Search for Mobile Business Object search dialog.
    4. Select the mobile business object that contains the synchronization parameters you want to assign to the control from the list, and click OK If parameters are defined for the mobile business object, the parameter table is populated.
The Synchronization Action dialog launches, with the synchronization parameters automatically listed.
  3. (Optional) Select the checkbox next to the synchronization parameter if the input is required by the mobile business object synchronization. If selected, a value is required.
  4. Review the synchronization parameters and click OK.
