Button Control Properties

Use the button control Properties page to configure button appearance on the device screen.

Property Description
Button Text Enter the text for the button.
Use Variable Use a variable for the button text. Click Browse to find available variables.
Assign Image Click Browse to find an image with which to associate the button control. Click Clear to clear the selected image.
Place Image at Beginning Select to place the button image before the text.
Focus Style From the drop-down list, select the appearance the button will acquire when it is the object of focus. Click Search to find available styles.

Click Restore to restore the default style.

Click Edit to edit the style.

Click Clear to clear the style.

Unfocus Style From the drop-down list, select how the button appears when it is not the object of focus. Click Search to find available styles.

Click Restore to restore the default style.

Click Edit to edit the style.

Click Clear to clear the style.

Span Choose:
  • Horizontal – enter the number of columns the button will occupy. The number must be greater than zero, and less than or equal to the number of columns in the container.
  • Vertical – enter the number of rows the button will occupy.
Alignment Choose the way the button displays on the screen:

Horizontal


  • Left – left-justified alignment.
  • Center – centered alignment.
  • Right – right-justified alignment.

Vertical


  • Top – positions the control at the top of the span.
  • Center– positions the control in the center of the span.
  • Bottom – positions the control at the bottom of the span.
