Database Development

New features have been included for Sybase IQ 15.x support. In addition, Database Development now supports migrating Adaptive Server stored procedures to Sybase IQ syntax, adding bookmarks to a SQL file to quickly find specific statements, viewing and modifying source code for a database view in the View Editor, filtering table columns in the Table Schema Editor.

Sybase IQ 15.x	Full support for Sybase 15.x syntax, datatypes, and encrypted columns. Support for Sybase IQ 15.x driver definitions, connection profiles, schema object creation, query plans, and DDL generation.
Sybase IQ 12.7.x	Full support for Sybase IQ 12.7.x syntax and encrypted columns.
Procedural Objects Migration wizard	Migrate Adaptive Server Enterprise stored procedures to Sybase IQ syntax.
SQL Scrapbook/SQL File Editor	Add bookmarks to your SQL files so you can quickly find specific statements in your code. Select the connection commit mode: auto to automatically save changes to the database, or manual to commit changes manually. In manual mode, you can roll back changes for the transaction.
View Editor	New Source tab, where you can view and modify the SQL code for the database view.
Table Schema Editor	Table column filtering. Use simple character matching and wildcards to display a subset of columns.

Creating a Database View
Create a database view to see a subset of rows or columns from one or more tables. Each time you select a database view and use the view data, Sybase WorkSpace executes a select statement to retrieve the data and creates the database view.
View Editor
Use the View Editor to view the columns and definitions of a view and to control the priviliges assigned to a view object.
