Errors in bulk transfer on Linux platform

When executing a bulk transfer on the Linux platform, ECDA Option for ODBC may report LONGCHAR errors and abort the transfer. When transferring character data through a Linux-based ECDA to an ASE 15.0, the transfer of char columns may fail. This results from a charset incompatibility between the Linux platform-based ECDA and ASE. The transfer may be attempting to move UTF-8 double-byte data into an ASE configured for single-byte characters like iso_1 or cp_850.

Workaround: Set the Linux $LANG variable to the desired name value found in the locales.dat file.
