If you edit the interfaces file directly without using dsedit, you can edit the global interfaces file (located in <install_dir>\ini\sql.ini) or the local interfaces file (located in <install_dir>\DC-15_0\connectivity\ini\sqlini), because the local version is a soft link to the global version.
