New Features for Sybase Mobile SDK and Runtime

Sybase® Unwired Platform 2.1 ESD #1 includes these new features in its Mobile SDK and Runtime components.

The Sybase Unwired Platform product is supporting enterprises in their efforts to mobilize critical business processes while lowering the cost of mobile application development (TCD) and management (TCO) with tools increasing productivity and efficiency of the mobile developer and administrator. Sybase Unwired Platform 2.1 ESD #1 focuses on support for Android development, and allows administrators to use the Online Data Proxy functionality in an Unwired Platform cluster.

Native Object API Support for Android
You can develop native Android applications using the Object API. In this release, the Android Java Object API code is generated using a command line utility (Code Generation Utility) for the Mobile Business Objects developed in Unwired WorkSpace.
Runtime Clustering Now Supported for Online Data Proxy
Create a clustered system design to lower total cost of ownership (TCO) for scalability, and provide higher availability.
DOE-C Now Installs with Sybase Unwired Platform
Sybase SAP® DOE Connector (DOE-C) is now installed with the Sybase Unwired Platform.
