Creating a New DirectConnect Server

The installer automatically creates the subdirectories and files for the ECDA installation. Use the AddServer utility to create a new DirectConnect server.

1. Create a new server:

   cd install_dir\DC-15_0\bin
   AddServer srvname 1234

   where:

   • srvname is the name of the new server.

   • 1234 is the listener port.

   • AddServer is the utility that:

     • Sets the environment variables

     • Creates the server

     • Starts the server

   Note: You must set the path to install_dir\DC-15_0\connectivity\bin directory for this batch file to work properly.
2. Log in to your machine using an account with “administrator” privileges, then shut down all other processes for the components you are uninstalling.
