Starting Server Config for Adaptive Server

To change configuration settings for Adaptive Server, use the Server Config utility. You can run this program in one of two ways:

By selecting the Server Config from within Windows. To run this utility from the Windows command prompt, run syconfig.exe.
By running sp_configure from within isql. Use sp_configure to quickly and easily change single parameters and values. For more information, see sp_configure in the Reference Manual.

This manual walks you through Adaptive Server configuration through the Server Config utility.

Starting Server Config

Select Start Programs.
Select Start | Programs | Sybase | Adaptive Server Enterprise | Server Config.
Choose Server Config
When you have completed the necessary configuration changes, click Exit to quit Server Config.
