Every column in a table has a set of properties
that define the characteristics of that column. Sometimes you may
need to change the properties of a column after it exists and contains
data.
This example shows you how to rename a column in the office table.
- To display the properties
of a column:
- In Tasks view, choose Work with
another table in this database from the list of Other Tasks. Double-click
the office table
- In Folders view, click the office table.
- If necessary, click the Columns tab in the right panel.
- Change the name zip column to postal_code.
Notice that the row that you changed is marked by an icon that indicates
that the column is modified.
- To save the new column definitions;
- Click the Save Table button on the Toolbar.
- Click File, and choose Save.
