The SYSCOLUMN view is provided for compatibility with older versions of Sybase IQ that offered a SYSCOLUMN system table.
The previous SYSCOLUMN table has been replaced by the ISYSTABCOL system table, and its corresponding SYSTABCOL system view, which you should use instead.
