[CR #484121 and CR #393342] IBM does not ship a Sun JDBC-ODBC driver with its JDK. You can use the SQL Anywhere JDBC-ODBC driver instead.
Workarounds: Select one of the following options. Sybase recommends the first option:
Set these database property values:
Database Type: Unknown
Database URL: jdbc:odbc:EAS Demo
DB V3
User: dba
Password: sql
Driver Class: ianywhere.ml.jdbcodbc.jdbc3.IDriver
Or, set these database property values:
Database Type: SQL_Anywhere
Database URL: jdbc:odbc:driver=
~/ASA100/client/lib32/libdbodbc10_r.so;uid=dba;
pwd=sql;dsn=EAS Demo DB V3
User: dba
Password: sql
Driver Class: ianywhere.ml.jdbcodbc.jdbc3.IDriver
Or, use one of the drivers that IBM recommends—see the IBM Java Web site.
