Before installing EAServer, make sure your system has the required patches described in this section.
For AIX 5.3 AIX 5300-03 Recommended Maintenance Level (Maintenance Level 3) must be installed. This maintenance package can be downloaded from the IBM Web site.

To verify the maintenance level of your system, run:
oslevel -r
On AIX 5.3 systems, the command should return:
5300-03
