Learning to build a .NET Web Forms application

In the second part of this tutorial, you convert the client-server application that you built in the first set of exercises. However, you do not need to complete the client-server tutorial in order to follow the instructions in the .NET Web Forms tutorial. You can use the application provided in the PowerBuilder Tutorial\Solutions directory as the starting point for the Web Forms tutorial instead of the application that you build in the client-server tutorial.

The end result of the .NET Web Forms tutorial looks reasonably similar to the completed client-server tutorial, except for the fact that you run the application in a Web browser. There are other minor differences, such as the page navigation toolbar that you select in the Web Forms application. The tutorial does not cover all features of .NET Web Forms applications that you can build with PowerBuilder. Additional topics, such as Web Forms printing, theme setting, and user management are covered in the Deploying Applications and Components to .NET book.
