Precompiler options for persistent binding

Two precompiler options control binding, the -p option and the -b option. These options affect only Embedded SQL statements that can use persistent binding. (Refer to Table 9-1 for a list of statements that cannot use persistent binding.)

NoteThe names of the -p and -b options differ on some platforms. To find out the name of these options on your platform, refer to the Open Client and Open Server Programmer’s Supplement.Also, the -b option of Embedded SQL version 11.1 and later differs slightly from that for previous releases.
