To perform materialization and replication of SAP Business Suite
applications running on supported databases into SAP HANA database, you must configure the
Replication Server.
Scenario
1 describes how to configure Replication Server if the primary database is DB2 UDB and
has cluster tables. Scenario 2 describes how to configure Replication Server if the
primary database is Oracle and has cluster tables. If your primary database is Microsoft
SQL Server, the steps to configure Replication Server are the same as in Scenario 2 but,
you must skip step 7.
The provided scenarios make several assumptions and considerations:
- The replication components are installed.
- SAP HANA version is 1.00.62 or above.
- SAP Kernel is 720, 721, 740, or 741.
- The library, libSQLDBCHDB.dll (Windows) or libSQLDBCHDB.so (UNIX), Revision 1.00.72.00 or above, is
downloaded and installed.
- The library, libodbcHDB.dll
(Windows) or libodbcHDB.so (UNIX), Revision
1.00.72.00 or above, is downloaded and installed.
- A connection from the Replication Server to the primary database
already exists.
- A connection to the replicate SAP HANA database instance using
ExpressConnect for SAP HANA database already exists.
Note: Make sure that
you do not manually create tables in a schema created by the SAP
applications.
