Installing in console mode

If you want to run the installer without the graphical user interface (GUI), you can launch InstallShield in console mode. In cases where InstallShield launches automatically, click Cancel to cancel the GUI installation and then launch the setup program from a terminal or console.

The steps for installing components in console mode are the same as those described in “Installing in GUI mode”, except that you run the InstallShield installation program from the command line using the setupConsole command, and you enter text to select the following installation options:

Enter the following at the command line:
```
setupConsole.exe -console
```
The installation program starts and displays the Welcome message.
The flow of the installation is identical to a regular GUI installation, except that the display is written to a terminal window and responses are entered using the keyboard. Follow the remaining prompts to install either Software Developer’s Kit or Open Server software.
