The translate table is the first table used in processing AMD2 messages. When DB2 returns a SQLCODE, AMD2 searches the translate table by the SQLCODE to determine the resulting output message number (MSGNR) and other attributes associated with the SQLCODE. For non-DB2 errors, AMD2 searches the translate table by MSGNR to determine the other message attributes associated with the error.
