User exits allow you to control the flow of execution in the DB2 UDB Option for CICS and to control incoming and outgoing data. The DB2 UDB Option for CICS provides a communications area in which to write applications to:
Validate requests and results processed by the DB2 UDB Option for CICS
Generate a list of group IDs for input to Catalog Stored Procedures (CSPs) for DB2 AS only
Customize SQL commands for a particular database or a specific purpose
