The parse exit common area passes information between AMD2 and the parse exit routine. It is acquired and initialized by AMD2. A COBOL II copybook called AMD2CCPX defines the common area fields that are passed (through the linkage section) to a COBOL II parse exit routine. This copybook is distributed with the DB2 UDB Option for CICS.
