drop trigger

Description

Removes a trigger.

Syntax

drop trigger [owner.]trigger_name 
	[, [owner.]trigger_name] ...

Parameters

trigger_name

is the name of the trigger to drop. Specify the owner’s name to drop a trigger of the same name owned by a different user in the current database. The default value for owner is the current user.

Example 1

Removes trigger1 from the current database:

drop trigger trigger1

With granular permissions enabled, you must be the trigger owner or a user with drop any trigger privilege.
