Troubleshooting Problems with Altering Routes

Fix problems encountered when using the alter route command.

  1. Quiesce the replicated data system prior to executing the alter route command. See the Replication Server Administration Guide Volume 1.
  2. Create a route from the new intermediate site to the destination site if you are changing a direct route to an indirect route, or if you are changing the intermediate site in an indirect route.
  3. Execute rs_helproute at the destination Replication Server to determine the success of an alter route command. Make sure that the output reflects the route change. If the route change did not succeed, follow the troubleshooting procedures in Replication Server Troubleshooting Guide > Route Problems > Problems with Creating Routes > Output from rs_helproute at the Source Replication Server.
