You can upgrade and downgrade SAP Replication Server if you install the software into existing directories.
By default, the installation process installs versions 15.5 to 15.7.1 SP200 in directories under the REP-15_5 directory. SAP recommends that you do not install and upgrade versions 15.5 to 15.7.1 SP200 using existing directories that contain any preupgrade versions between 15.5 and 15.7.1 SP200. You must back up the files and directories of the preupgrade version of SAP Replication Server before you install the newer version in the same directories.
