Editing the sql.ini or interfaces File

Modify the sql.ini or interfaces file.

A file name sql.ini (Windows) must be present in the C:\<install_dir>\DCO-15_0 directory. This file contains server entries for each server in the network known to your system. A default interfaces (UNIX) file is automatically created in the <install_dir>/ directory during installation.
Use dsedit utility to modify the sql.ini or interfaces file.
Option Description
sql.ini (Windows only)

To modify the sql.ini file for a new server, use the utility supplied with Open Client and Open Server. Enter the new server name, the TCP/IP host and port number.

For more information about dsedit, see the Open Client and Open Server documentation. For the server to start, the server name and the configuration file name must be the same.

interfaces file To modify the interfaces file, use the utility in <install_dir>/DCO-15_0/bin.
