Replication Agent uses a single instance of the SAP® jConnect™ for JDBC driver to manage all of its connections to Open Client/Server applications, including the primary SAP Replication Server and its RSSD.
In the case of the primary database server, SAP Replication Agent connects to the jConnect driver for the primary database.
While replicating transactions, Replication Agent maintains connections with both the primary database and the primary SAP Replication Server. In addition, Replication Agent occasionally connects to the RSSD of the primary SAP Replication Server to retrieve replication definition data.
