Replication Server provides you with various preventive measures, which you
can take to protect data in your replication system.
Standby Applications
Protect the data in your replication system by maintaining separate (standby) copies of primary data.
Save Interval
You can configure a route from one Replication Server to another, or a connection from a Replication Server to a database, so that the Replication Server stores stable queue messages for a period of time after delivery to the destination. This period of time is called the save interval.
Coordinated Dumps
When you recoover a database by restoring a backup, you must also make replicated data in the affected databases at other sites consistent with the primary data. Replication Server let you coordinate database dumps and transaction dumps at all sites in a distributed system.
