System functions represent data server operations that use function
strings supplied by Replication Server or are available when
you install a new database on the replication system.
Unless your
application requires it, you do not need to customize function strings
for system functions. The system-provided class generates them for
you.
System functions include:
- Functions
that represent data-manipulation operations such as insert, update,
delete, select, and select with holdlock. These system functions have replication-definition scope.
- Functions that represent transaction-control directives.
These functions include operations such as begin transaction and
commit transaction. These system functions have function-string-class scope.
