Servers in a three-tier environment are added and dropped in the same way as in the two-tier environment. The difference is in the properties that display if you select the object and view its properties.
RMS is designed to monitor servers and components, thus you can only view properties that RMS uses to monitor and troubleshoot the replication environment.
