Configuring SySAM for IPv6

Replication Server includes IPv4 and IPv6 versions of the SySAM license server software. You can choose the version of the license server based on your environment using the sysam configure command. By default, the installer configures SySAM for IPv4 support.

The IPv4 version of the license server cannot be used properly if you have enabled IPv6 on the license server host. If this is the case you can:

If you are using the IPv6 version of the license server on a Windows host, then this license server can be accessed only through IPv6 protocol. Any host with an IPv4 only network stack will not be able to obtain licenses from this IPv6 license server. To resolve this issue:

You can use the SySAM script to configure the appropriate version of the license server:

sysam configure [IPv6|IPv4]
