If you plan to use Adaptive Server as your RSSD, the LC_ALL environment variable cannot be set in your Windows 2000 system. This causes sysconfig, the Adaptive Server configuration tool, to fail.
Therefore, you must unset (remove) the LC_ALL environment variable before you install Adaptive Server.
Removing the LC_ALL environment variable
Select Start | Settings | Control Panel, and select System.
The System Properties window appears.
Select the Advanced tab.
Click Environment Variables.
Find and select the LC_ALL environment variable.
Click Delete, then OK.
Restart your machine.
