allow sendmsg enables or disables sending messages from Adaptive Server to a User Datagram Protocol (UDP) port. When allow sendmsg is set to 1, any user can send messages using sp_sendmsg or syb_sendmsg. To set the port number used by Adaptive Server, see “syb_sendmsg port number”.
Sending messages to UDP ports is not supported on Windows.
