Collating sequence files

Open Client and Open Server products include files to support a variety of collating sequences. These files can vary by platform but generally include the following:

If these files do not meet your needs, you can create a custom collating sequence file. For information on how to do this, see “Creating a custom collating sequence file”.

Collating sequences are specified in locales file entries. If a locales file entry does not specify a collating sequence, then a binary sort order is used with the locale. For more information, see Chapter 6, “Creating or Changing Collating Sequences.”
