You must initialize the $SYBASE and $IQDIR15 environmental variables to run Sybase IQ Server. The environment files that set these variables also set the variables required to run Open Client. To set the $SYBASE environmental variable, see “Setting the $SYBASE environmental variable”.
Setting the $IQDIR15 variable depends on your shell:
For the bash or Korn (ksh) shell, enter:
% . $SYBASE/IQ-15_2/IQ-15_2.sh
For the tcsh or C (csh) shell, enter:
% source $SYBASE/IQ-15_2/IQ-15_2.csh
These procedures set the $IQDIR15 environment
variable used to start Sybase IQ.
